Suzuki Family Camp Refund Policy

Families are encouraged to purchase camp insurance as a means of protecting your camp investment. Comprehensive benefits include coverage for events such as session interruption or cancelation, medical expense, emergency evacuation, lost or delayed baggage, and recouping other expenses associated with a camp experience. You will have the opportunity to select this as you complete your camp reservation. Insurance is provided by Arch Insurance Solutions via UltraCamp (our registration platform), and more information is available here:

Refunds are processed within 30 days of written notice to the Suzuki Family Camp Registrar at Requests received by June 1 are eligible for all fees paid to be refunded except the non-refundable $100 deposit. Requests received after June 1 are not eligible for a refund.

Blue Lake aims to remain as flexible as possible for students who feel the need to withdraw and cancel a reservation. However, we are a small non-profit organization which is funded primarily through earned income from camp tuition. Because our organization sustains significant administrative cost associated with managing operations, enrollment, and pre-season preparations, we also wish to provide opportunities for those who are invested in supporting the mission and longevity of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. If it is in your means to so do, we hope you will consider one of the options below:

Tuition Refund Minus Deposit: Your deposit helps to cover administrative costs and transactional processing by third-party companies. Donating your deposit will help Blue Lake recoup these expenses.

Tuition Credit: You may transfer the full balance of your current reservation to credit toward any future Blue Lake program.

Full or Partial Donation: Blue Lake is a small non-profit organization which is funded primarily through earned income from camp tuition. If you are in a position to donate any portion of your tuition to our organization, you will help Blue Lake to weather the economic impacts of the pandemic. Your donation supports our ability to meet year-around operating costs, maintains our scholarship funds, and ensures the future of our programs. Donations are considered tax-deductible.


Confirmation and Further Information

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email acknowledgement. A confirmation letter will be mailed shortly after your application has been processed. Further information about camp, program, and how to prepare for your session can be found in the Suzuki Family Camp Handbook, viewable within your account.


If a Custodial Parent/Guardian is Unable to Attend

When completing the online application, you will be given the opportunity to designate another adult who will be responsible for your child while they are at camp.
