Additional Activities

2026 Sessions

For Suzuki Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, and Piano

Session 1:
June 14 – 17

Session 2:
June 18 – 21

Art Barn

The Art Barn is devoted exclusively to art activities. Children have the opportunity to delve into exploration throughout the day. Projects are designed to inspire invention and allow relaxation: just the right combination of freedom, structure, and interesting materials are provided. Students will find several different projects to try each day.

Swimming

The camp offers two large swimming pools overlooking the lakeshore and Central Park beach area. Pools hours are posted in the cafeteria. Certified lifeguards staff the pools.

Afternoon Recitals

Afternoon recitals are an optional, additional performance opportunity. Recitals take place on the second and third afternoons of camp at 4:45 pm. They will not interfere with scheduled classes. Recital participation forms are in the Suzuki Family Camp Handbook, which is viewable in your account.

Fiddling and Eclectic Styles

Fiddling is open to all interested string students. Three drop-in sessions are scheduled each day. Any family member who plays an instrument, especially guitar or bass, is welcome to join in these fun sessions.

Dalcroze Movement

Drop-in Dalcroze movement sessions are available several times each day. Dalcroze Education is a playful, experiential approach to teaching and learning music. It is a process for awakening, developing, and refining innate musicality through rhythmic movement (often called eurhythmics), ear-training, and improvisation.

Parent Orchestra

The parent orchestra is an opportunity for caregivers to play in an orchestra for one hour during each session. Any instrument is welcome…fun for all!

Parent/Teacher Discussion Panels

These discussion groups are led by different members of our Suzuki faculty.  Parents can drop by and participate in a conversation on different various topics. Topics focus on different aspects of student growth and development, the Suzuki Triangle relationship, as well as practice tips and tricks

Pre-Instrument Twinkle $75
