Blue Lake International Choir

The International Choir is comprised of talented and inspired young vocalists and performs a full range of choral literature. Each of the groups in the Blue Lake International Exchange Program will visit five to seven towns (hosting communities) in Europe. Tentative countries for the 2021 International Choir are Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

Erin L. Stier, Music Director

Erin Stier

Erin L. Stier is the director of choirs at West Ottawa High School in Holland, Michigan, and is entering her eighth year teaching at West Ottawa Public Schools. Ms. Stier holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Hope College and an Associate of Arts degree from Northwestern Michigan College. She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Michigan School Vocal Music Association, and has served on the Full Board of MSVMA as a district manager.

Under her direction, the 2014 West Ottawa 6/7 Honors Choir was selected to perform at the Michigan Music Conference. In June of 2018, her high school students and former middle school students performed at Manhattan Concert Productions’ Treble Choir Series at Carnegie Hall and, in May of 2019 the WOHS Vocalaires were selected to perform at Michigan Youth Arts Festival. Ms. Stier has also presented on the topic of “working with young singers” at the MMEA General Music Fall Workshop. The summer of 2019 was her fourth as conductor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
