Blue Lake International Choir

The International Choir is comprised of talented and inspired young vocalists and performs a full range of choral literature.

Each of the groups in the Blue Lake International Exchange Program will visit five to seven towns (hosting communities) in Europe.  Tentative countries for the 2019 International Choir are Germany and Belgium.

Dr. Clayton Parr, Music Director

Clayton ParrClayton Parr is Director of Choral Activities at Albion College. A native of Detroit, Dr. Parr graduated from Albion with degrees in music and physics. He taught in the public schools in Michigan and New York, and received his Master’s and DMA from Michigan State University. Before joining the faculty at Albion, he taught at DePaul University in Chicago and Miami University in Ohio.

He is music director of Michigan Educators Male Ensemble and the Battle Creek Community Chorus, and conducted the 2016 High School Men's Honor Choir for MSVMA. He was a Fulbright scholar in the Republic of Georgia at the Tbilisi Conservatoire, and leads Alioni Georgian Choir of Chicago. He edits a series of Georgian choral publications for earthsongs, and Supra! A Feast of Georgian Song, a collection of 18 Georgian folk songs in three parts, has just been published by Hal Leonard.
