35th Annual Suzuki Family Camp 2012 Blue Lake Suzuki Family Camp, in its 35th season, is designed as an “Nurturing and positive early environ-ment foster high musical ability in any child guided properly by teachers and parents working together.” Camping at Blue Lake provides an opportunity to experience West Michigan's beautiful natural features while focusing on family-oriented Suzuki training. Families camp in rustic cabins and dine together in a cafeteria-style setting at Marek Hall. Campfire rings and picnic tables are available throughout the housing areas. Blue Lake's instructional and housing facilities span nearly 300 acres of Manis-tee National Forest, with wandering footpaths and trails through the woods and along Little Blue Lake. The camp offers two large swimming pools over-looking the lakeshore and central park beach area. Parent volunteers are an integral part of the Suzuki Family camp experience at Blue Lake, providing a wide variety of extra activities for parents and students alike. If you have a special interest in any area, and wish to share this interest with either students or parents, please attach a note to your registration form. A special block of time will be reserved for your activity. Just for parents: Panel discussions on topics of interest to parents will be scheduled on the second and third days of each session at 4:45 after lessons are over. Scholarships Available: Two Nancy C. Barber String Scholar-ships are available to cover les-son fees for one session each for a student in Bk 1-2, and a student in Bk 3-5. For requirements and application materials, contact Pat Smith, registrar. The deadline for receipt of forms is April 15, 2012. For further information:
